The Blue Parrot was an inspiration from two guys: Rob Sullivan and Mark Rupp. They both met in the keys and eventually moved in different directions, finally years later meeting in San Diego. They decided to open a bar that reminded them of the Keys. The Blue Parrot opened in Ocean Beach 4 1/2 years ago but retained the menu of a former restaurant Ortega's. Finally in 2011 The Blue Parrot has made its own identity by changing the menu and bringing items from the Keys and southern influences. The Blue Parrot also brings great drink specials and fun activities nightly to make sure your visit is a memorable one.
